"Upside Down" a chick flick (plot: star-crossed lovers)

But, actually, I liked it. Sci-Fi aspects with gravity - special fx was interesting... Oh and it seems Kristin Dunst can't kiss anyone rightside up. (Spiderman)

killing them softly: pot-4 cinematography(sp)- 9!!!!

grindingly slow storyline is way less important than the incredible visuals and background noise. cool movie. last two minues counts.

flight of the conchords-

8.0 (i know its a tv show- how did i miss this when it was in primetime??)

threads like this actually influence what i watch. fuck critics,

pirates in trenches have way more influence based on what we deem worthy of propagating :)

Jack Reacher 2012 .... 8.0

I would give it a 7.5

Not bad, but nothing new.

I guess its because he stayed with the character and I read all 11 or so books which were great.

I dont give out a 10 willy nilly, but "Beasts of the Southern Wilds (2012)" is an easy 10, and possibly the best film of 2012.

Codename Jackal (korean film) 6/10 - a lot of pretty, a bit of fun, some bad acting and a lot of ridiculous

Les Miserables 8.5/10 - points for casting a lot of actors/actresses I like, great music and singing (mostly), and for making a film adaptation that didn't disappoint me as a fan of the musical

Disclaimer: I have questionable taste in movies. I thought "Shark Swarm" was "plausible", and that "Iron Sky" was a documentary.

Stand-Up Guys>>>10

Simply outstanding roles for Walken, Pacino and Arkin with a superb supporting cast. Great script. Movie has everything - humour, action, humanity. Faultless cinema. Best movie I've seen in years.

Silent Hill Revelations 3D>>>6.5

A pale substitute for the first film. Decidedly unscary, rarely eerie, very predictable and not as well shot as the original film. Should've left the franchise in Christophe Gans's capable hands. The first movie nailed the atmosphere of the games, and I think everyone involved in its production was familiar with the source material. The sequel felt like the crew had the games described to them. It's not that it's a bad movie - it's just a very disappointing sequel. (And far better than the last "Resident Evil" film!)

Django Unchained>>>8.5

Very enjoyable. Solid performances, barrels along at a brilliant pace. Probably would have scored it higher if I hadn't just watched "Stand-Up Guys".

Snowman's Land >>>7.0

Bleak German crime thriller. Dark and despondent, filmed with a washed-out noir style that I really like.

Seven Psychopaths >>>7.5

Top movie. Quirky and fun. Walken is brilliant, but Sam Rockwell shines in every scene he's in.

Killing Them Softly>>>6.5

An over-long tedious one-joke film. Most misleading trailer/advertising campaign ever. Thinks it's "Donnie Brasco" - bloody well isn't.

Quite a list you have there Jackson, seen most of them, but not the low scoring ones (5.0 and below), confirming that I don't think I will watch them. Thanks for your ratings. I will check out "Mama" from your list which I have yet to view.

I liked it, but I HATE when movies are shot in shakey cam.

So I would give it an 8.

This is 40 (2012)

As far as movies go, I am not a big comedy fan, but this is the funnest movies I have seen in a long time, really good laugh out loud movie, had me in stitches in quite a few parts, even though it is over 2 hours long, I didn't want it to end 9/10
